FAQ's

We now prepare for a new chapter for Marklin Candle. Many product lines will still be available, and our woodworking and liturgical consulting will continue. We will cease, however, the production of our Paschal Candles, Church Advent Candles, and Altar Candles.

We’re sharing this news with you so that you can place your orders for Advent and Easter now. Once our supply of these product lines has sold out, we will not be producing any more.

Our customers are many, and our office staff is small.  We have created this list of FAQ’s to help answer any questions you may have. We will do our best to accommodate as many orders as we can.

Below are answers to questions you may have:

Is Marklin Candle going out of business?

Which products/product lines is Marklin Candle discontinuing?

Marklin Candle is discontinuing the production of the following:

                              Paschal Candles

                              Church Advent Candles

                              Decorated Altar Candles

                              Undecorated Altar Candles

                              Unbleached Altar Candles

Why can’t I reach anyone via the phone? Why am I just getting Voicemail?

As we are a small, family-owned company, we do not have a large office staff. We will do our best to respond to your call as quickly as we can. Sending an email instead of calling is preferable, as it will allow us to respond beyond normal office hours.

    Why is your website paused?

From time to time we may need to pause our website while we update inventory on specific products. We ask for your patience during these times. Please note that we will not be able to process any phone orders if the website is paused. If the website is paused, please send an email with the header “WAITLIST” requesting that you be put on a waitlist. Be sure to specify the size candle you are looking for. We will reach out to you once we have had a chance to update our inventory numbers.

Can I order candles to cover several years?

Yes. We will focus on filling orders for Advent 2026 and Easter 2027 first. Once these orders have been filled and shipped, we will begin decorating and filling orders that have been placed for the following years. At times we may have to pause orders so we don’t “oversell”. If this happens you can send an email with the header “WAITLIST” requesting that you be put on a waitlist for a specific size candle and we will reach out to you once we have had a chance to update our inventory numbers.

Is Marklin Candle doing a preseason sale this summer?

Unfortunately, no. Please note that quantities of some sizes are limited. We will accept as many orders as we can.

Will I still be able to purchase altar candles with Sertin End™? Does anyone else offer this configuration? When these are sold out how do I convert my stands to hold a plain end candle?

Marklin Candle has a limited supply of candles with the Sertin End. If you have purchased these in the past, we will reach out to you directly. If we have not been in touch, feel free to send an email with the header "SERTIN". You can retrofit your stands with a socket to accept a plain end candle.

I was hoping to get a custom candle? Can I still order one?

We will accept custom orders on a case-by-case basis. If you are looking for a custom candle, please send an email with the header “CUSTOM CANDLE INQUIRY” and we will be in touch as quickly as we can.

Will Marklin still be doing date changes on Paschal candles?

If you are a customer that has had a date change in the past, and we can accommodate your request, we certainly will. Please send an email with the header “DATE CHANGE REQUEST” and we will be in touch with you.

Why do I have to prepay my order?

As quantities are limited, we are requiring a financial commitment to the order. If you are prepaying by check, we will need to receive the check within 7 business days of the order date. Orders that have not been paid within this 7 business day timeframe will be canceled.

Why does the website indicate I need to send an email to place my order?

On some sizes where quantities are more limited, we will accept orders via email only so that we don’t oversell.

I am trying to place an order online, but the product says “SOLD OUT”? Is the inventory on the web 100% accurate?

Not always. Because we decorate candles to order, and have so many different products that an undecorated candle can become, the inventory will never be 100% accurate. We will do our best to keep things updated. If you are curious, you can always send an email to sales@marklincandle.com with the header “WAITLIST” and details of what you are looking for. We can let you know if we can accommodate your request.

        When will my order ship?

Candles will be shipped once decorated. When placing an order for Advent, please specify if it is for Advent 2026 or Advent 2027, etc. For Easter you will select 2027, 2028, or 2029. Orders for Advent 2026 will ship in time for Advent. Orders for Easter 2027 will ship in time for Easter 2027 and so forth. You will be notified via email once your order has shipped. Make sure that you receive it and check your order for damages with the 10 business day from ship date time frame.

What if my order arrives damaged?

You will need to check your order and report any damages within 10 business days of the ship date so that we can replace the damaged items. Beyond this time frame we cannot guarantee that we can replace damaged items.
